The Organization for Bat Conservation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit environmental organization dedicated to providing the resources to protect bats through live animal programs, community education, collaborative partnerships, and research support, preserving the natural balance of our ecosystem. OBC’s vision is to mobilize the nation to actively protect bats and conserve biodiversity. The organization has the largest grass-roots bat conservation educational project in the United States.

OBC program staff and animal keepers present over 1,500 educational, engaging, and entertaining presentations annually to nearly 250,000 people. Live animal exhibits are provided for museums, science centers, wildlife festivals, and more, including the permanent exhibit at Cranbrook Institute of Science in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan since 2002. The importance and uniqueness of bats is also shared nationally through print and television appearances like The Tonight Show, Live with Regis & Kelly, The Today Show, Martha Stewart, and Conan O’Brien. The Organization for Bat Conservation has been combining community education, Bat Zone tours, research and conservation to protect bats worldwide since 1992.
