To foster environmental stewardship of the Saginaw Bay Watershed and the Great Lakes ecosystem, and to provide personal development opportunities for learners of all ages through shipboard and land-based educational experiences.
About Us
BaySail has been providing unique sailing experiences since the Appledore IV was welcomed in Bay City, Michigan in May 1998. With the addition of the 65-foot schooner Appledore V in October 2002, BaySail expanded both public sailing and educational voyages. BaySail provides Science Under Sail, a hands-on, environmental science program on the Saginaw River and Saginaw Bay. In the summer, BaySail also offers Windward Bound youth sail training programs and voyages to Great Lakes ports.
