From 4-H Student Stewards
Youth in Alcona County work on guiding remote operated vehicles at the Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Community Explorations Underwater Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) Days held in Harrisville last week. Students of all ages got to work on a rov computer simulator, test drive ROVs in an outdoor pool, make a fan boat, build payload tools, build a coat hanger ROV and more during the three day event. The project was funded through a grant from the Michigan STEM Partnership Straits Hub with support from 4-H, Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary and Alpena Community College.
