On Monday, April 15 five students from Cheryl Mack's sixth grade class presented to the Alpena City Council on their Lake Huron Adopt-a-Beach project. The students discussed the project and suggested ways the city could improve and protect its beaches. At the end of the presentation Alpena Mayor Matt Waligora presented the students with a certificate of appreciation for their class's work in conserving these valuable natural resources. The student presentation begins at the 14:00 minute mark.
