Some local fifth graders go to apply what they’ve been learning in the classroom to real world scenarios this afternoon aboard the glass bottom boat. The Lady Michigan is a tour boat specially designed to help residents view Thunder Bay’s many shipwrecks in an up close and personal way. Bu today, the boat was transformed into a research vessel where students used ROV’s, underwater cameras, and other mechanism to learn more about the eco-system near the many artificial reefs in Alpena’s waters.
